A small surgery on the university campus of Bath, UK, that revolves around the intricate relationships between medical staff, administrators, patients, and visitors on a 400m2 site.
Influenced by research into critical regionalism and genius loci, notably as applied by Tadao Ando and Alvar Aalto in the mid-20th century, the scheme seperates functions in a subtle manner, using water, skylights, and careful distancing more so than walls to define spaces.
The subsequent desire lines should insinuate a clear journey for each user type.
